The original coaching house from 1900 still forms the heart of Best Western Woodlands Hotel, where we've carefully preserved period features while creating contemporary meeting spaces throughout our 65-room property. Our position in mature wooded gardens, just outside Broughty Ferry, gives delegates a proper break from office distractions while keeping Dundee city centre within easy reach. We've configured several spaces for different meeting styles. The Library works brilliantly for board meetings or training sessions, offering an intimate wood-panelled setting that helps focus discussion. For larger conferences, our Ballroom handles up to 200 delegates theatre-style, with natural daylight from tall windows overlooking the gardens. The room divides into smaller sections when you need breakout spaces or concurrent sessions. Between sessions, delegates tend to gravitate towards our lounge bar for informal discussions over coffee, or take calls in the gardens when weather permits. We include free Wi-Fi throughout the building, and there's never any hassle about parking – we've got plenty of complimentary spaces right outside. Our restaurant serves working lunches that actually fuel productivity rather than induce afternoon drowsiness. The kitchen team understands corporate timings and can arrange breakfast meetings from 7am or working dinners that wrap up efficiently. What sets us apart for meetings is the leisure club. After a day of presentations, your team can decompress in our heated indoor pool, work out tensions in the gym, or properly unwind in the sauna, steam room or jacuzzi. We even have a resident holistic masseuse for those suffering from conference-chair syndrome. The three separate wings mean we can accommodate residential conferences comfortably, with standard rooms for most delegates and executive rooms for senior team members. Several interconnecting rooms work well for colleagues who need to collaborate after hours, and we've got fully accessible rooms throughout.
