Über Browns West India Quay
Right on the edge of West India Quay's old docks, Browns occupies a converted warehouse that tells its own story through weathered brick walls and heavy timber beams. I've been managing events here for three years, and honestly, the building does half the work for us – especially when golden hour hits those Thames views from upstairs. Our ground floor bar has this lived-in feel that puts people at ease the moment they walk in. Head up the original staircase and you'll find the restaurant level, where you can watch the boats drift by while your guests mingle. We've got everything sorted tech-wise – proper sound system, screens for presentations, reliable WiFi that actually works when you need it. The old loading bay is now our private terrace, and yes, we have our own car park (rare as hen's teeth around Canary Wharf). Corporate teams love the flexibility here – we've hosted everything from 20-person strategy sessions to 200-guest product launches. Birthday parties tend to spill between floors as the night goes on, and our cocktail menu gets plenty of compliments. The heritage feel means we don't need much decoration, though some groups bring in uplighters to play with the architectural features.
