When you walk through the doors of The Helix at Dublin City University, the first thing that catches your eye is our signature helical staircase spiraling upward through the granite and glass atrium. We've been hosting everything from international conferences to community gatherings here since 2002, and we recently received recognition as Ireland's Best Purpose Built Event Venue. Our building, designed by A&D Wejchert, houses three distinct meeting and event spaces that we've configured for different purposes. The Mahony Hall seats 1,200 people and works brilliantly for large conferences and presentations. For more intimate corporate gatherings, our 450-seat Theatre provides excellent acoustics and sightlines from every seat. The Space, our 150-seat experimental studio, has become particularly popular for workshops and breakout sessions where flexibility matters. Beyond our main halls, we maintain gallery areas and exhibition spaces that many of our corporate clients use for networking sessions or product displays. Our café bar stays open throughout events, serving coffee, lunch options, and evening refreshments—we're fully licensed, so delegates can unwind with colleagues after a long day of meetings. Getting here couldn't be easier. We're just 10 minutes from both Dublin city centre and the airport, right on the DCU campus. Our car park has plenty of spaces, and we've made sure every area of the building is fully accessible, with ramps, lifts, and accessible facilities throughout. Our team has worked with businesses of all sizes, from local companies hosting AGMs to international organizations running multi-day conferences. We also welcome theatrical productions, concerts, and community events, which means we understand how to adapt our spaces for different requirements. Whether you need projection equipment for presentations, exhibition stands for trade shows, or simply a professional environment for your next board meeting, we have the facilities and experience to support your event.
