The exposed brick walls and original timber beams of our Grade II-listed building on Pilgrim Street tell the story of Newcastle's industrial past while we serve up Argentina's finest steaks. At Gaucho Newcastle, we've transformed this historic space into something special - our sweeping centrepiece bar catches your eye first, perfect for those pre-dinner drinks while you watch our chefs at work in the open kitchen. We source our Black Angus beef directly from Argentina's Pampas region, and yes, it's carbon-neutral. Our team pairs these cuts with premium Argentinian wines and cocktails that go beyond the usual suspects. During the week, we serve set lunches for the business crowd, and Sundays bring our famous roasts complete with unlimited Yorkshire puddings - a proper feast. Live music fills the restaurant on select evenings, adding to the energy of the space. For private parties and corporate events, we've created two distinct rooms. The Anderson Room seats up to 12 guests around a single table, while the more intimate Greys Room works perfectly for groups of 5. Both spaces maintain the building's original character with contemporary touches that make them feel special without being stuffy. Our location puts us right near Grey Street and the Theatre Royal, so we see plenty of pre-theatre diners alongside business lunches and birthday celebrations. We're also one of the few upscale restaurants in Newcastle that welcomes dogs - because we know they're part of the family too.
