Beneath St. Matthew's Church in Brixton, we've transformed an ancient crypt into Gremio de Brixton—a Spanish tapas bar where bare brick arches curve overhead and candles flicker on every table. Our kitchen serves authentic Spanish dishes throughout the evening, from crispy Serrano Ham Croquettes to perfectly spiced Patatas Bravas and sizzling Chorizo plates that fill the space with incredible aromas. We've built our reputation on creating the kind of nights people remember. When you book our venue for your party, you're getting a space that holds 140 for seated dining or 200 standing guests, all surrounded by the raw beauty of exposed brick and atmospheric lighting. Our Spanish wine list runs deep, we pour proper Spanish beers, and our bartenders mix Latin-inspired cocktails that keep the energy flowing. As darkness falls, we turn up the heat. Our DJs take over, spinning Latin beats that transform the crypt into one of Brixton's most distinctive party spaces. The acoustics down here are something special—the music bounces off the curved ceiling, creating an intimate sound that pulls everyone onto the dance floor. We stay open late because we know the best parties don't watch the clock. The crypt setting gives every event a sense of occasion you won't find in typical Brixton bars.
