The old sewing machine factory at 114 Power Road Studios has been our home since we transformed it into Groundworks Chiswick. We're just a short walk from both Gunnersbury and Kew Bridge stations, making it easy for our members to get here from across London. Our space works differently depending on what you need. Some people grab their morning coffee and settle into the café area with their laptop – that's our Community Membership at £149/month + VAT. Others prefer having their own desk in the studio where they can leave their things overnight and really make it their own space. That's £269/month + VAT for our Resident Membership. We also have private offices that fit up to six people at £350/month + VAT per desk, perfect for small teams who want their own door but still enjoy being part of our community. The building itself tells its own story – the original features from the early 20th century mix with everything you need for modern work. We keep the coffee and tea flowing all day, the Wi-Fi is fast enough for video calls, and you can access the space 24/7 with your key fob. There's a proper kitchen if you want to heat up lunch, showers for cyclists or runners, and we're happy when members bring their dogs in. Our meeting rooms get plenty of use too. The Atrium catches the morning sun and seats eight people comfortably, while the Café Boardroom handles bigger groups up to twelve. Both are £30/hour + VAT. After hours, The Commons area opens up for events – we can fit about 40-50 people for drinks or presentations. What really makes this place work is the mix of people here. Freelancers, remote workers, small businesses – everyone's working on something interesting, and there's always someone to bounce ideas off when you need it.
