At Hale End Library, we've transformed traditional library spaces into modern meeting venues that serve Highams Park's professional community. Our two first-floor community rooms offer distinct advantages for different group sizes. The larger space accommodates bigger teams comfortably, while our smaller room creates an intimate setting for focused discussions. Both rooms come equipped with electronic whiteboards that make presentations smooth and professional, alongside traditional tables and chairs arranged to encourage collaboration. We've installed PCs in select areas for those who need quick access to digital resources during their sessions. Beyond the meeting rooms, your attendees can take advantage of our comprehensive facilities. We provide free Wi-Fi throughout the building, ensuring everyone stays connected. The ground floor houses our extensive collection of books, eBooks, and eAudiobooks - perfect for those arriving early or wanting to browse during breaks. Computer access remains free for all visitors, whether they're local residents or traveling from other areas. While we host Story & Rhymes sessions for young families and Lego Play for school-aged children during specific hours, our meeting rooms maintain their professional atmosphere in dedicated time slots. Adult programming includes puzzle sessions and computer support, though these run separately from hired room bookings. Currently, access to our first-floor meeting spaces requires using the stairs, as our passenger lift undergoes maintenance. We acknowledge this temporary limitation and can discuss specific accessibility needs when you book. Our community rooms regularly host workshops, training sessions, exhibitions, and board meetings. The natural light, modern amenities, and quiet professional environment make these spaces particularly effective for focused business gatherings in the heart of Highams Park.
