Our 1934 Art Deco building catches people's attention the moment they walk past – we're the Grade II* listed library that stands proud on the high street, just two minutes from Leytonstone underground station. After our £1.5 million refurbishment in 2015, we've become much more than a traditional library, transforming into a proper community hub where meetings and celebrations happen alongside our regular book lending. The theatre hall remains our showpiece space, accommodating up to 80 guests for larger gatherings and presentations. We've kept the original Art Deco features while adding modern touches like upgraded ICT facilities throughout the building. For smaller meetings and parties, we offer two additional rooms – one perfect for teams of 8, another that works brilliantly for groups up to 20. Each space has its own character, with the retro charm that our visitors particularly love shining through in every corner. Beyond our three hireable spaces, we maintain dedicated sections for adults, teens, and children, which means your event happens within a genuinely active community building. Our facilities include free Wi-Fi throughout, public computers for those who need them, and access to our extensive collection of books, eBooks, newspapers, and online courses. We regularly host story time sessions, film clubs, arts and crafts workshops, and computer support sessions, so there's always positive energy flowing through the building. Getting here couldn't be easier – we're right between Leytonstone Tube Station and Leytonstone High Road Train Station, making us accessible from anywhere in London. Our staff take pride in helping event organizers make the most of our spaces, whether you're planning a business meeting, birthday party, or community gathering. The bright, modern interiors combined with our historic architecture create an atmosphere that works equally well for professional presentations and social celebrations.
