The original Burleigh Pottery moulds line the walls of our Burgess Room, where Victorian craftsmanship meets modern meeting needs at Middleport Pottery. We're proud to host corporate gatherings in the UK's oldest working pottery, right here in Stoke-on-Trent. Our Grade II*-listed building offers three distinct meeting spaces, each with its own character. The Burgess Room remains our signature space - those pottery moulds aren't just decoration, they're pieces of our 130-year history. With seating for 80 and a built-in bar, it works brilliantly for presentations, workshops, or evening receptions. The Regal Peacock Room floods with natural light through its original windows and accommodates 100 guests in either banquet or theatre-style arrangements. For smaller teams of up to 30, the Arden Mezzanine provides an intimate setting above The Packing House Café, complete with rustic wooden tables and benches. We've found that our most memorable meetings happen aboard the historic narrowboat Dane. Picture your board meeting or team brainstorm cruising the Trent and Mersey Canal - we can accommodate 12 passengers for this floating conference room experience. Our catering showcases local Staffordshire flavors, from working lunch buffets to hearty hot meals. Everything's served on authentic Burleigh Pottery, naturally. Afternoon tea becomes something special when poured from teapots we've crafted on-site. Between sessions, your team can explore our working pottery with virtual factory tours, take guided heritage walks, or try their hand at pottery-making. We've got lift access to all main rooms, accessible facilities throughout, and free parking including blue badge spaces. Our central Staffordshire location puts us within easy reach of major motorway and rail connections, making those early morning arrivals straightforward for everyone.
