Über Northern Wine School
Four floors up in a Grade II listed Victorian warehouse, we've created something special at Northern Wine School. Our 900-square-foot space on Portland Street still shows its heritage through the original wooden beams and exposed brickwork, but we've made sure it works perfectly for modern meetings and training sessions. The room floods with natural light during the day, and we can arrange the furniture however works best for your group. We regularly set up boardroom style for strategy sessions, classroom rows for training days, theatre seating for presentations, cabaret rounds for workshops, or U-shaped for interactive discussions. We can seat 30 comfortably, or if you're planning a networking event or showcase, we can accommodate up to 45 people standing. Everything you need for a productive meeting is already here - we've got a projector and screen for presentations, plus whiteboards and flipcharts for brainstorming sessions. The space works brilliantly for conferences, training sessions, team meetings, workshops, and even private parties when you want something different. What sets us apart is that we can add wine, spirits, beer or sake tastings to your event. We find teams really appreciate a gin or whisky tasting as an afternoon break during away days, or clients love ending their visit with a guided wine experience. It transforms a standard meeting into something people actually remember. Getting here couldn't be easier - we're a 10-minute walk from St Peter's Square tram exchange, Manchester Piccadilly, and Oxford Road train stations. Once you arrive at our Portland Street building, take the lift to the fourth floor and you'll find our self-contained space ready for your event.
