Über Pop Brixton
The shipping containers that make up Pop Brixton started arriving in 2015, transforming an empty plot into what we've become today - a buzzing community space where South London's entrepreneurs test their ideas and locals gather for everything from morning meetings to late-night celebrations. We built this place from 55 repurposed containers, stacking them into corridors and courtyards that now house independent food vendors, creative businesses, and our various event spaces. Our Pop Box anchors the venue as our main event space, equipped with full technical facilities including sound systems, lighting rigs, and projection capabilities. We've hosted everything here from 200-person corporate conferences to intimate film screenings, live music nights to product launches. The exposed container walls and industrial framework create an atmosphere that works equally well for professional presentations and birthday parties. Tucked away on our upper level, the Greenhouse provides a complete contrast - plants spill from every corner of this glass-walled space that holds up to 30 people. We find it works brilliantly for board meetings, creative workshops, or private dining experiences. Our other meeting rooms range from compact 5-person spaces perfect for focused discussions to training rooms that accommodate larger teams. What makes Pop Brixton work is the energy from our resident businesses - the smell of jerk chicken mixing with Korean BBQ, designers sketching at communal tables, social enterprises running workshops in our community spaces. Just minutes from Brixton station, we're easy to reach but feel like a world apart from typical London venues. Our spaces adapt to whatever you need - we've seen yoga sessions at sunrise, pitch presentations over lunch, and celebration parties that run late into the evening.
