The moment you turn into our lane at The Red Barn, you'll understand why couples fall in love with this 16th-century barn for their weddings. We've carefully preserved every original timber beam and the soaring vaulted ceiling that makes our main Barn such a breathtaking space for ceremonies and receptions. With room for 140 seated guests, brides often tell us how the exposed wooden pillars frame their first dance perfectly, while the grand fireplace creates that romantic glow during evening celebrations. Our Orangery offers something completely different - flooded with natural light, it's where many couples choose to hold their drinks reception or more intimate ceremony. The real magic happens when guests spill out into our Secret Garden and Paddock, especially during summer weddings when the rural Surrey countryside provides the most incredible backdrop for photographs. We take enormous pride in our kitchen, where everything is prepared fresh using seasonal British ingredients. Whether you're planning a formal wedding breakfast or relaxed birthday banquet, our chefs create menus that range from traditional Sunday roasts to contemporary dishes. The bar stocks an impressive range of real ales, craft beers, and carefully selected wines - we've noticed the local ales are particularly popular at wedding receptions. Our events team works closely with each couple to bring their vision to life, handling everything from table layouts to timing the perfect sunset drinks on the lawn. The wood burner adds wonderful atmosphere during winter weddings, while corporate groups appreciate how the different spaces allow for both presentations and informal networking. Getting here is straightforward - we're in the village of Lingfield on Tandridge Lane, Blindley Heath, with a bus stop just around the corner providing connections to nearby towns. The rural setting feels wonderfully secluded while remaining easily accessible for your guests.
