Bristol Bridge wasn't supposed to become my second home, but here I am, greeting members at Runway East most mornings with probably too much enthusiasm for 8am. This old building near Temple Meads has transformed into something special—a place where Bristol's tech scene actually wants to hang out. We've carved out different zones across the space because everyone works differently. Need absolute silence? Head to the focused work area. Prefer the energy of collective productivity? Our open-plan sections have that startup buzz without the chaos. The meeting rooms are properly soundproofed (learned that lesson the hard way), and yes, the video conferencing actually works every time. Our members range from solo developers camping out with their laptops to scale-ups taking over entire sections. The café downstairs makes a mean flat white, and whoever decided to install those showers deserves a medal—the cycling commuters certainly think so. Bike storage is secure, dogs wander the corridors making friends, and somehow it all just works. Events happen organically here. Last week's fintech meetup turned into an impromptu pitch session. The breakout areas have hosted everything from birthday celebrations to intense brainstorming sessions fueled by too much caffeine.
