Down the stairs at 25 Duke Street, we've created something special at Scales Cocktail Bar. Our 16-seat main bar runs the length of the room, crafted from dark wood that catches the glow from our carefully positioned lighting. The leather seats have developed that perfect give that only comes from regular use, and our bartenders work just inches away from where you sit, measuring and mixing with the kind of focus that comes from years of practice. Din Jusufi and Engji Shala opened our doors in December 2023, bringing their combined decades of experience to this corner of Marylebone. What sets us apart is the laboratory tucked behind the bar—not just for show, but a working space where we use centrifuges and other equipment to extract pure flavors from ingredients delivered fresh each morning. Watch us transform green apples into crystal-clear essence for our Shiso Apple, or see how we clarify fig juice for our cognac-based Fig cocktail. Our lounge seats 20 on banquettes that encourage long conversations over drinks. The low ceilings and stone walls create natural acoustics that keep conversations private, making this space particularly popular for business gatherings and celebrations alike. We've hosted everything from product launches to birthday parties, with groups taking over either section or booking the entire venue for up to 40 standing guests. The seasonal menu changes as our suppliers bring different produce, but you'll always find options like our Forest mocktail alongside the alcoholic offerings. We keep things simple—no loud music or flashy decor—just exceptional drinks served in a space where the focus stays on what's in your glass and who you're sharing it with. We're open Monday through Saturday with varying hours, tucked beneath Drink with Sasha on Duke Street.
