Über Science And Industry
Our drinks laboratory buzzes with quiet experimentation as we prepare for another evening at Science & Industry. Up here on the first floor of Cane & Grain in Manchester's Northern Quarter, we've created something deliberately different - a space where Victorian curiosity meets modern mixology. The taxidermy squirrels watching from their perches have seen countless celebrations unfold in our 100-person capacity venue. We've dimmed the lights just enough to create intrigue while our antique glassware catches the glow from our working laboratory stations. This is where our mixologists apply scientific techniques to create cocktails you won't find anywhere else in Manchester - each one tested, refined, and served with full table service by our team. We're particularly proud of our "Perfect Serve" masterclasses, where guests don white coats and learn the precise measurements and methods behind our experimental drinks. The rustic seating areas fill with groups discovering the stories behind each ingredient, while our DJ equipment provides the soundtrack when parties want to shift gears later in the evening. For corporate gatherings, we transform into a sophisticated meeting space where deals are sealed over molecular martinis. Private parties love how we can arrange buffet options alongside our extensive cocktail menu, creating a complete experience. Our private bar means your group has exclusive access to our creations throughout the event. Just moments from Manchester Piccadilly station, with Victoria station also nearby, we're easy to reach but feel wonderfully removed from the everyday. Whether you're planning an intimate dinner party or a full-capacity celebration, we handle every detail with the same precision we apply to our cocktails. Our team ensures your event runs smoothly while you and your guests explore flavors that challenge expectations.
