Our building on 25 Hockley brings together graphic designers, filmmakers, illustrators, app developers, and marketing professionals under one roof at The Carousel. Since opening in 2019, we've watched countless freelancers and small businesses grow from their first tentative steps into thriving enterprises. The heart of our community lies in the mix of flexible coworking areas and private studios spread across the building. You'll find people sketching at shared desks while others perfect prints in our specialized printmaking facilities, or edit films on our bookable iMacs loaded with Adobe Creative Cloud. The smell of fresh coffee drifts from our kitchen throughout the day - we keep the tea and coffee flowing unlimited and free, because we know creative work runs on caffeine. Our digital facilities complement the hands-on workshop spaces, with high-speed Wi-Fi reaching every corner and printers ready when you need them. Personal lockers mean you can leave projects safely overnight, and our magazine library offers inspiration during breaks. We particularly pride ourselves on supporting people transitioning into freelance work or developing skills for new employment - watching someone gain confidence in our encouraging environment remains one of our greatest rewards. When evening arrives, our space transforms. The same room that hosted morning meetings becomes a licensed venue for up to 100 standing guests. Our sound and lighting systems have supported everything from intimate acoustic performances to full exhibitions. Regular events like our Collage n' Cocktails and Drink n' Draw sessions blur the lines between work and play, bringing our community together in new ways. We built The Carousel as an affordable alternative to working from home - a place in Nottingham's city center where creativity and collaboration happen naturally.
