Über The Dunstane Houses
Two grand Victorian townhouses make up The Dunstane Houses, where we've created 35 guest rooms that each tell their own story through individual design choices. Our family has run this boutique hotel in Edinburgh's West End for years, and we take pride in how the original ornate stucco work and period fireplaces frame each space while Samsung Smart TVs and high-speed Wi-Fi keep everyone connected. Our Ba' Bar & Lounge has become something of a whisky destination - we've gathered over 70 rare and vintage bottles that our bartenders love sharing stories about. The kitchen works with Scottish suppliers to create menus that change with the seasons, and if you're more of a gin person, we've curated a selection focusing on local distilleries. When Edinburgh gives us good weather, the Champagne and Gin Garden opens up, where tables sit among the plants and you can hear the city settling into evening. The Stroma Lounge works beautifully for private dining - we've hosted everything from birthday dinners to corporate presentations in there. The garden conservatory brings natural light into meetings and has doors that open directly to the garden when you need fresh air between sessions. For weddings and larger celebrations, we can arrange exclusive use of both houses, giving your guests run of all our spaces. Five minutes' walk takes you to Haymarket station, and we're under 20 minutes from the airport by car. The West End location means you can stroll to the city center or stay local - there are excellent restaurants and bars right on our doorstep. Each room comes with Egyptian cotton linens because after a day of meetings or exploring Edinburgh, proper rest matters.
