Our Grand Ballroom still takes my breath away after all these years working here. The crystal chandeliers catch the morning light just right when we're setting up for conferences, and that original Victorian plasterwork never fails to impress our corporate clients. The Grand Hotel Birmingham has been hosting Birmingham's most important meetings and events since we reopened after our £50 million restoration. We've got ten different meeting spaces spread throughout this Grade II* listed building, from intimate boardrooms perfect for eight people to the Grand Ballroom that comfortably accommodates 400 delegates theater-style. Each room has been thoughtfully equipped with the latest AV technology while preserving those stunning period features - think ornate ceiling roses, tall windows, and rich wood paneling that photographs beautifully. Our events team has noticed how the penthouse suite has become surprisingly popular for executive retreats. Those panoramic views across to St Philip's Cathedral create quite the backdrop for strategic planning sessions. Down in Isaac's restaurant, we serve New York-style brasserie dishes that work equally well for working lunches or post-conference dinners. The Madeleine bar has become the unofficial networking spot - something about those Parisian-inspired cocktails helps seal deals. We're right in Birmingham's city center, which our regular clients appreciate. The train station is a ten-minute walk, and there's plenty of parking nearby. Our 185 rooms mean we can accommodate entire conference delegations, and yes, we're pet-friendly if someone needs to bring their furry assistant. The fitness center stays open early and late for those who like to clear their heads before big presentations. Every event space includes complimentary Wi-Fi, and our technical team ensures everything runs smoothly from registration through to the final presentation.
