We've been serving the Maida Vale community from this Victorian corner pub since our restoration, and every floor tells a different story. Walk past our traditional pub on the ground floor any evening and you'll hear the familiar clink of pint glasses and catch the aroma of our Scotch eggs fresh from the kitchen. This is where locals settle in with their newspapers and a pint of cask ale, or share cheese toasties over catch-ups that stretch into the evening. Head up the stairs to The Grill Room and the atmosphere shifts. Our chefs work the open fire throughout service, sending out plates of guinea fowl with leek or beef fillet with horseradish to diners who've booked weeks in advance. The crackling flames aren't just for show - they're what give our specialty meats and fish that distinctive char our regulars keep coming back for. The Library on the second floor feels like stumbling upon a secret. Our bartenders mix classic cocktails while guests sink into armchairs, and on resident nights, you might find yourself learning the story behind a forgotten Victorian-era drink. The covered beer garden out back stays busy year-round thanks to our heaters - it's become a favorite spot for birthday parties that spill outside. For weddings and corporate events, we open up our private banquet rooms or clear the entire first floor. Our events team has organized everything from intimate anniversary dinners to company presentations, working with hosts to adjust our menus or create entirely new ones. The boutique hotel rooms upstairs mean wedding guests can simply head to bed after last orders, and business visitors can prep for morning meetings over breakfast in the pub.
