I coordinate corporate events at The Hurlingham, and after six years here, I'm still discovering new corners of these grounds. Yesterday I found myself explaining to a CEO why the peacocks were investigating his coffee during our terrace breakfast meeting – that's just Tuesday here. Our auditorium works brilliantly for the serious stuff – AGMs, medical conferences, that sort of thing. Proper acoustics, none of that echo chamber nonsense. But it's the Palm Court that really sells itself. Natural light flooding in, French doors opening onto the lawn, space for 300 seated or 500 standing. We've had fashion shows spill out into the Sunken Garden, tech launches using the whole terrace as an exhibition space. The grounds are why people book us, honestly. Where else in Zone 2 can you have drinks on 42 acres of actual green space? The gardens aren't just decoration – we've had treasure hunts for team building, croquet tournaments during summer parties, even yoga sessions at sunrise. Our gardening team keeps everything immaculate without it feeling like you can't touch anything. Putney Bridge station to our gates is about twelve minutes on foot, or there's decent parking if people are driving. The building itself has this wonderful worn-in grandeur – Georgian bones with all the modern bits discretely added. We're particular about who we take on (members club and all that), but if your event fits, there's nowhere quite like it in London. Worth a conversation to see if we match.
