The Pump House has been serving Brighton since 1766, making us one of the city's oldest pubs right here in the heart of the historic Lanes. You'll find us within a short stroll of Prince Albert Street, North Street and East Street, though we like to think there's nowhere quite like our place in all of Brighton. Step through our doors and you'll see why locals and visitors have been gathering here for over 250 years. Our wood-paneled walls tell countless stories, and the original stone fireplace still bears the initials of Miss Elliot, who owned the building back in the 18th century. We've kept that traditional pub character alive while making sure everyone feels right at home. Our kitchen team prepares everything fresh daily, from hand-crafted pies to proper fish and chips. Sunday roasts are a particular point of pride - we serve them the way they should be done. Behind the bar, you'll find an eclectic range of real ales alongside craft beers, ciders and spirits. We know our regulars by their usual orders, but we're always happy to recommend something new.
