The Woodins Shades has welcomed traders from Petticoat Lane and Spitalfields Markets through our doors for more than 150 years, and we're proud to continue that tradition today. Our traditional dark-wood interiors create the perfect backdrop for your celebrations, whether you're planning a milestone birthday, anniversary party, or corporate gathering. Our upstairs dining room transforms beautifully for private events. With its own fully serviced bar and private toilets, this space comfortably hosts 60 guests for seated dinners or up to 100 for standing receptions. The room maintains all the character of our historic pub while giving your party complete privacy. We've found it works particularly well for everything from relaxed birthday parties to more formal anniversary dinners. Being directly opposite Liverpool Street Station means your guests can easily find us, and many appreciate not having to navigate far after their journey. Our kitchen serves up proper British fare throughout your event - think our signature pies, hearty roasts, and dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. At the bar, we pour a carefully chosen selection of cask ales from specialist breweries alongside all the usual favorites.
