The circus comes alive beneath Stoke Newington Road when you step into our 190-capacity basement at Tipsy Bar. We've transformed this subterranean space with vintage big top décor – think worn carnival posters, theatrical lighting, and curious circus memorabilia that gives every corner its own story. Our Martin Audio sound system fills the room perfectly whether we're hosting a funk and soul night or when the bass drops during our house and techno sessions. We stay open until 3 AM on weekends because we know the best parties don't watch the clock. Throughout the week, you'll find our resident DJs spinning everything from 90s R&B to disco, with special guests dropping by to keep things fresh. What makes us genuinely different is our basement brewery where we craft Tipsy Lager – a 4.6% ABV beer that captures exactly what we're about. We pour it fresh alongside our 2-for-£10 drinks during happy hour (until 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays). We've hosted everything down here – from 21st birthdays that turned into impromptu dance-offs to corporate Christmas parties where the suits loosened up and joined the locals on our dancefloor. Product launches have worked brilliantly in our space too, with the circus theme providing an unexpected backdrop that gets people talking. Our basement works just as well for private hire as it does for our regular club nights. The vintage circus atmosphere creates something memorable without trying too hard, and our sound system means whether you're bringing a live band or your own DJ, the music will sound exactly as it should.
