The Laban Building brings together cutting-edge architecture and world-class dance facilities to create something truly special for your meetings and celebrations. Designed by Herzog & de Meuron (the same architects behind Tate Modern), our Stirling Prize-winning building offers an inspiring backdrop that sets your event apart from the standard conference room experience. Our 300-seat Laban Theatre transforms from performance space to sophisticated conference venue with ease. The dark wood interior creates an intimate atmosphere perfect for award ceremonies and product launches, while our professional lighting and sound systems ensure every presentation hits the mark. For smaller gatherings, we have three dedicated meeting rooms and a lecture theatre that accommodate various group sizes. What makes us different is the creative energy that flows through these spaces. Thirteen professional dance studios line our corridors – you might catch glimpses of rehearsals between your sessions. Our foyer showcases Michael Craig-Martin's vibrant artwork, creating an energetic welcome space where up to 400 guests can mingle during receptions. The building's glass walls flood every room with natural light, making even day-long workshops feel refreshing. We've hosted everything from corporate strategy sessions to evening cocktail receptions. Some groups book our Pilates studio for morning wellness sessions, while others arrange bespoke dance workshops led by our professional instructors – a memorable team-building alternative that gets everyone moving. The grounds, landscaped by Vogt Architects, provide additional space for summer gatherings where guests can spill outside with the building's dramatic architecture as their backdrop.
