Walking through the doors of Waxy O'Connor's Manchester, you'd find yourself in one of The Printworks' most remarkable venues - a genuine Irish pub that we transformed into something truly special for meetings and events. Our building stretched across four levels with nine interconnected areas, each offering a different atmosphere for your gathering. The heart of our venue was a 250-year-old tree we brought over from Ireland, standing tall in the center of the pub. Around it, we'd built three separate bars, connected by winding passages that made exploring the space an adventure in itself. The church-like timber carvings and stained glass windows throughout created an atmosphere you wouldn't find in any typical meeting space. We could accommodate groups from small team meetings to company-wide events of up to 300 people. Our largest areas worked brilliantly for presentations and corporate gatherings, while the smaller nooks provided perfect breakout spaces for more focused discussions. The multiple levels meant we could host several different groups simultaneously without anyone feeling cramped. Beyond meetings, we specialized in making corporate events memorable. Live traditional Irish bands performed regularly, and our screens showed major sports events - perfect for team building or client entertainment. Our kitchen served proper Irish food like lamb stew and full Irish breakfasts, keeping everyone well-fed throughout long meeting days. The maze-like layout, which regulars loved to navigate, offered endless possibilities for organizing events. Whether you needed a formal presentation space, casual networking areas, or somewhere to celebrate after closing a big deal, our interconnected rooms provided exactly what you were looking for. *Note: Waxy O'Connor's Manchester permanently closed in March 2021 after nearly 20 years serving The Printworks community.*
