Since 1818, we've been pouring pints at The Well & Bucket on 143 Bethnal Green Road, right in the heart of Shoreditch. Our pub might have over 200 years of history, but we've given it a fresh twist that makes it perfect for your next party or celebration. Step inside and you'll find our original Victorian tiling still intact, paired with what we call our 'adulterated portraits' - classic paintings with a cheeky modern update that always get people talking. The shabby-chic exterior might look unassuming from the street, but inside we've created a space that feels both cozy and buzzing with energy. Our main bar serves everything from classic lagers to craft beers, plus premium wines and spirits. We're particularly proud of our British seafood menu - the oysters and sliders have become something of a local legend. When the weather's good, our small beer garden comes alive with fairy lights strung overhead, giving you that perfect outdoor party atmosphere while still being tucked away from the main road. For private parties and special celebrations, we open up "Down the Well" - our basement cocktail bar that's become the go-to spot for birthday parties and group bookings. The intimate space below gives you and your guests exclusive use of the area, complete with its own bar service. We can accommodate small to medium-sized groups comfortably, whether you're planning a milestone birthday, an engagement party, or just want to gather your friends somewhere special. Being in Shoreditch means we're easy to reach from anywhere in London, with great transport links nearby.
