The Function Suite buzzes with energy every Saturday night, when football gives way to festivities at our Norwegian Playing Fields location in Barking. With space for up to 130 guests standing or 60 seated, this room knows how to handle everything from milestone birthdays to wedding receptions. Natural light pours through the windows that line one wall during afternoon setups, while evening celebrations come alive under the glow of our rustic bar's ambient lighting. That bar, with its distressed wood finish, serves as more than just a drinks station, it's become a natural gathering spot where guests reconnect over reasonably priced beverages. Above it, our neon "PLAY" sign sets the tone for the night ahead. The wooden flooring has seen countless first dances and impromptu dance-offs, while our mix of sturdy wooden tables and metal chairs can be arranged however suits your celebration. Most parties start with formal seating before naturally evolving into a more fluid space as guests mingle between the bar, seating areas, and that generously sized dance floor. Our new air conditioning keeps the atmosphere comfortable even when the dance floor fills up, which happens more often than not once the DJ hits their stride. Potted plants dotted around add life to the neutral walls, while framed posters give the space character without overwhelming your own decorations. Getting here couldn't be simpler, with ample parking right outside and full disabled access throughout. The venue sits conveniently close to public transport links, making it easy for guests travelling from across East London.
