The red horse sculpture catches your eye first, a bold statement piece that sets the tone for what we do here at Steinbeck & Shaw Brighton. We've taken over the entire building on West Street, where Brighton's creative energy meets the seafront, and turned it into something properly different for party hosts who want more than just another function room. Our space works hard for you, whether you're planning drinks for 196 colleagues or a sit-down dinner for 30 close friends. The graffiti-style murals climbing our walls weren't commissioned by some corporate committee, they evolved naturally, giving the place real character. During the day, natural light pours through our large windows overlooking the busy street scene below, while evenings transform the space with our quirky lighting installations creating pockets of atmosphere throughout. The private bar anchors the room, stocked with everything you need for a proper celebration. We mix contemporary cocktails that actually taste like they should, served by staff who know the difference between a good night and a great one. High tables scattered around encourage mingling, while our leather sofas offer spots for those inevitable catch-up conversations that happen at every good party. When your playlist hits that perfect song, the dance floor fills up fast. Our built-in sound system handles whatever you throw at it, from live bands to DJs to that carefully curated Spotify mix. The seafront patio becomes everyone's favourite spot when the weather cooperates, giving your guests somewhere to cool off between dance floor sessions. We're right by Brighton Station, so nobody's struggling to find us. The venue sits at ground level with full wheelchair access and disabled facilities sorted. Our kitchen facilities mean you can bring any caterers you fancy, and we'll point you towards the good local ones if you're stuck.
