We've been hosting weddings and parties in these galleries since 1885, and each of our spaces tells its own story. Our Round Room remains exactly as the Victorians intended - the ornate domed ceiling and historic paintings create an intimate atmosphere that works beautifully for smaller gatherings. Many wedding ceremonies happen here, with natural light filtering through period features while guests admire the original artwork surrounding them. The Industrial Gallery showcases our building's architectural heritage with exposed Victorian steelwork and soaring glass ceilings. We can accommodate larger receptions and wedding breakfasts here, with space for up to 120 guests to dine beneath the dramatic framework. The gallery's height and proportions make it particularly striking for evening events when we light the ironwork from below. For drinks receptions and standing buffets, our Edwardian Tearooms offer high-vaulted ceilings and generous proportions. The space flows naturally between the museum's collections, allowing guests to explore between courses or during cocktail hour. We find this works especially well for wedding receptions where people want to mingle freely. Our in-house catering team prepares everything from canapés to formal three-course dinners, working with you to design menus that suit your celebration. We're right in Birmingham's city center with direct access to New Street Station and major transport links, making it straightforward for your guests to join you. The combination of our Victorian architecture, permanent art collections, and flexible event spaces creates a setting where cultural heritage becomes part of your celebration.
