Five grand event spaces await you at Butcher's Hall in the heart of Smithfield, where centuries of London history meet today's business needs. We've carefully preserved the building's 19th-century character while equipping each room with the technology your meetings demand - from state-of-the-art AV systems to dedicated fibre optic broadband throughout. The Great Hall remains our showpiece, where 200 delegates can gather beneath soaring ceilings and original stained-glass windows. Those antique chandeliers aren't just for show - they create an atmosphere that transforms ordinary conferences into something more memorable. For smaller meetings, our Court Suites connect through ornate doorways, anchored by a working stone fireplace that dates back to the building's earliest days. Groups of 150 can spread across both rooms or close the doors for separate breakout sessions. Our Mezzanine Floor works perfectly for board meetings of up to 14 people, tucked away from the bustle below yet still bathed in natural light. The Reception Area handles registration for 160 attendees comfortably, with space for welcome refreshments or networking between sessions. When the weather cooperates, we open our Roof Garden - a proper outdoor space with views across the City skyline where 80 guests can enjoy drinks or working lunches. We're licensed to use it until 10pm, making it particularly popular for evening receptions after day-long conferences. Our kitchen team, led by Bovingdons catering, serves everything from working lunches to formal dinners. The Carvery Lunches have become something of a tradition here, featuring 28-day aged British beef sourced from sustainable farms. Our events team handles the logistics, from initial planning through to ensuring your AV runs smoothly on the day. Whether you need space for training sessions, product launches, award ceremonies or corporate celebrations, we adapt our historic halls to suit your requirements.
