About Covent Garden Dragon Hall Trust
Running dance rehearsals in our Main Hall feels like having your own private studio right in the middle of Covent Garden. We've watched countless performances come to life in this 13.2m x 9m space, where the half-sprung floor saves dancers' joints during long practice sessions and the wall of mirrors lets choreographers perfect every movement. The 70-person theatre-style capacity means we can host everything from intimate workshops to full company auditions. Our kitchen hatch opens directly into the Main Hall, making catering for meetings or parties surprisingly straightforward. We keep 60 chairs and 10 trestle tables ready for quick room transformations - one minute it's a dance studio, the next it's set for a corporate presentation using our PA system and data projector. The free Wi-Fi throughout means remote participants can join workshops or meetings without missing a beat. Upstairs, our Green Room provides a completely different atmosphere. At 8.8m x 6.7m with air conditioning, it creates the perfect environment for focused meetings or training sessions with around 20 participants. The platform lift ensures everyone can access this first-floor space, and the kitchenette means coffee breaks don't require a trek downstairs. For smaller gatherings, our Purple Room offers privacy for six-person meetings or breakout sessions. Despite being our most compact space at 5.2m x 4.3m, it includes the same air conditioning and Wi-Fi as our larger rooms, with easy access to refreshment facilities. We're tucked between four major stations - Holborn, Covent Garden, Tottenham Court Road, and Leicester Square - so whether your team is coming from different offices or you're hosting clients from across London, everyone finds us easily. Our flipcharts, photocopier, DVD player, stereo system, and portable staging round out the practical touches that make events run smoothly, from community workshops to professional development days.
