About The Rookery
Four-poster beds and roll-top baths might steal the headlines, but our meeting rooms at The Rookery tell their own story of Georgian elegance. We've carved out two intimate spaces within our 18th-century townhouses, where polished wood paneling and genuine antique furnishings create an atmosphere that's worlds away from the typical corporate boardroom. Our Clerkenwell location puts you right in the heart of historic London—St. Paul's Cathedral, the Bank of England, and the Old Bailey are all within walking distance. Yet step through our doors and you'll find yourself in what feels like a private club from another era. Stone-flagged floors lead you past open fireplaces to our meeting spaces, where natural light filters through period windows onto carefully chosen antiques. We've equipped both rooms with the technology you need for productive sessions, though you'd hardly notice it amid the rich fabrics and historic details. The smaller room works beautifully for confidential discussions or interviews, while our larger space accommodates board meetings and presentations. Between sessions, your guests can stretch their legs in our oak-paneled lounge or help themselves to refreshments from the honesty bar in our conservatory—complete with its own working fireplace. While we don't have a restaurant, the surrounding Clerkenwell streets offer excellent dining options, and we serve breakfast either in-room or in the conservatory. Our 24-hour room service means refreshments during meetings are never a problem, and our team handles everything from same-day dry cleaning to airport transfers. For those staying overnight, we offer 33 individually styled rooms across our connected townhouses. Each one features period furnishings and modern comforts like air conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi. It's this combination of historic character and contemporary convenience that makes The Rookery particularly suited to business gatherings where the setting matters as much as the agenda.
