About West Yorkshire Business Hive
Running West Yorkshire Business Hive means we get to work with businesses from across the region every day. Our nine meeting rooms sit within the West Yorkshire Joint Services building, just five minutes from Junction 27 of the M62, which makes getting here straightforward whether you're coming from Bradford, Wakefield, or further afield. We've designed each room with different needs in mind. The Nepshaw Suite, our largest space, works brilliantly for bigger gatherings - we can arrange it boardroom-style for 30 people or theatre-style when you need capacity for up to 70. The room stays comfortable year-round thanks to air conditioning, and we've equipped it with an interactive whiteboard and projector. What groups particularly appreciate is the private breakout area attached to the suite, where delegates can grab refreshments without disrupting the main session. For smaller meetings, the Heritage Room creates a more relaxed atmosphere. We find it works perfectly for one-to-ones, coaching sessions, or when four people need to work through something together without the formality of a larger space. Between our eight other contemporary meeting rooms, we can accommodate most configurations. Local authorities regularly book with us for committee meetings, while businesses use the spaces for training days, assessment centres, and product demonstrations. We recently hosted the Local Authority Asbestos Group and a Leeds City Region SME networking event - both groups commented on how well the facilities worked for their needs. Our breakout hub serves multiple purposes throughout the day. Sometimes it's simply where people make phone calls or catch up over coffee from our vending machines. During larger conferences, it transforms into a central networking space connecting the different meeting rooms. We provide accessible toilets, free public lockers, and limited free parking on-site. Several cafes and shops are within walking distance when you need proper lunch options. Free wifi runs throughout the building, keeping everyone connected during their time here.
