The Burgundy Room sits on the upper floor of our Victorian library building, where original stained glass windows cast coloured light across polished floors throughout the day. We've hosted everything from wedding receptions with 100 dancing guests to intimate charity fundraisers in this 56x56 foot space, and its character always adds something special to each event. Those high ceilings give parties a real sense of occasion, while the large windows keep the atmosphere bright and airy during daytime celebrations. We recently had a couple transform the room with balloon arches and twinkling lights for their reception, and the DJ had everyone dancing until late. The room's generous proportions mean you can arrange tables for 60 seated guests comfortably, or clear the floor for standing receptions up to 100. Our projector and PA system come as standard, along with stage lighting that really brings performances to life. We've seen the space work brilliantly for charity galas, where organisers used the built-in screen for auction displays, and for corporate launches where the staging area became a product showcase. You're welcome to bring your own caterers or food, and yes, alcohol is permitted until midnight. Getting here couldn't be easier, with Crystal Palace and Gipsy Hill stations both within walking distance. We have our own car park and a covered loading bay, which makes setting up decorations or equipment straightforward. The lift access means all your guests can enjoy the space comfortably.
