Walk through our main doors on Chester Street in Blackburn and you'll find two Event Rooms that adapt beautifully to whatever celebration you're planning. The sports hall's polished wooden floor gleams under the high ceiling, where blue walls stretch upward to create an impressive sense of space. We regularly transform this vast room from morning basketball sessions into evening wedding receptions, complete with draped fabric and atmospheric lighting that completely changes the feel of the space. For weddings and large celebrations, our sports hall welcomes up to 600 guests in theatre-style seating, or 450 for a seated dinner. The floor's sports markings become invisible once we dress the room, and that soaring ceiling means there's plenty of room for elaborate decorations or tall floral arrangements. We've hosted everything from traditional Asian wedding ceremonies to milestone birthday parties here, each one making use of the space differently. Our community hall offers something more intimate, with its warm wooden floors and neutral walls creating a cosy atmosphere for gatherings up to 150 people. The overhead lighting bathes the room evenly, though many clients bring in their own uplighters to add ambiance for evening events. This room works particularly well for smaller wedding receptions, birthday parties, and celebration dinners where you want everyone to feel connected. Both spaces benefit from our practical advantages, full accessibility with proper ramps and wide doorways means all your guests can join the celebration comfortably. The ample parking right outside saves the usual venue stress, and we're open until 10:00 PM daily, giving you flexibility for your event timing. Our on-site café can handle catering arrangements, or you're welcome to bring in your preferred suppliers.
