Stone steps rise to The Mansion House at Kirkhill, where we've been welcoming celebrations to our Grade B listed estate just 9 miles from Edinburgh City Centre. Our 18th-century property spans four acres of mature woodland, with the North Esk River flowing through the grounds and over 3,000 trees creating a natural amphitheatre for your event. The marquee becomes the heart of larger celebrations, accommodating up to 200 guests for drinks receptions or 100 for seated dining. We dress the space with flowing drapery and fresh florals, while wooden flooring adds warmth underfoot. Round tables set with fine china and glassware create an elegant dining atmosphere, with natural light flooding through during daytime events. French doors open directly onto the lawn, letting your party flow between the marquee and gardens where the Pentland Hills frame every photograph. Inside the mansion, our Grand Hall welcomes up to 70 guests for more intimate gatherings, while the formal Dining Room seats 42. The hot tub tucked into the garden sees plenty of action during hen parties and birthday weekends, and our games room hosts lively pool tournaments most evenings. With exclusive use of the entire estate, your group decides the schedule, whether that means midnight feasts from our fully equipped kitchen or dancing until dawn. We accommodate overnight stays for up to 34 guests across 12 individually decorated bedrooms. The bridal suite overlooks the gardens where deer often wander past at sunrise, while our mix of king-size, twin, triple and family rooms ensures everyone finds their perfect retreat. Morning coffee on the terrace comes with birdsong, and high-speed internet keeps you connected if needed. Corporate celebrations, milestone birthdays, wedding receptions and anniversary parties all find their home here, with ground-level access throughout and ample parking for all your guests.
