When your celebration deserves something more than a single room, our Exclusive Use option transforms the entire Castle Green Hotel into your private party venue. Picture this: your guests arriving to find the whole hotel dedicated to your event, from the moment they step through our 1847 entrance to when they retire to one of our 99 bedrooms after dancing the night away. The main event space becomes whatever you envision. We've seen it dressed in cascading golds for 50th anniversaries, adorned with faux blossom trees for spring weddings, and lit up with giant illuminated letters spelling out everything from "LOVE" to company names. Those teal walls you'll notice provide the perfect canvas, whether you're going for elegant sophistication with our Chiavari chairs and crisp white linens, or something bolder with vibrant blues and statement pieces. With space for 250 seated guests or 270 standing, we configure the room to suit your celebration style. Round tables encourage conversation during dinner, while clearing the floor later creates that dance space where memorable moments happen. Our bar stays open as long as you need it, keeping drinks flowing while your guests move between indoor celebrations and our 14 acres of gardens. What makes exclusive use particularly special is how different spaces serve different moments. Pre-dinner drinks might happen in Alexander's pub with its local ales, dinner in the main space with those panoramic Lakeland Fell views through the windows, then late-night revelry spilling onto private terraces. Your photographer will thank you for the variety: woodland paths, landscaped lawns with Kendal Castle visible, and those perfectly lit interior shots. The convenience factor matters too. Being just outside Kendal town centre, your guests find us easily, park for free, and then forget the outside world exists. No coordinating taxis at midnight, everyone simply heads upstairs when ready.
