Our second-floor Victorian Lounge brings together everything people love about this historic building, rich red wallpaper, dark wood panelling, and those wonderful tall windows that catch the afternoon light just right. We've arranged the space around a polished dining table that seats 32 comfortably, though we regularly reconfigure the room depending on what our guests need. For dinner parties, we set the long table with proper glassware and cutlery, creating an atmosphere that feels both grand and welcoming. The chandelier overhead provides just the right amount of warm light, while the portraits and artwork on the walls remind everyone they're dining somewhere with real history. Corporate groups often choose theatre-style seating for 40 when they need presentation space, or boardroom setup for 20 when smaller teams want to focus on discussion. What makes The Victorian Lounge particularly flexible is how it connects to our Cocktail Bar next door. While the lounge itself doesn't have its own bar, we regularly open up the adjoining space for pre-dinner drinks or networking breaks. Groups hosting training days appreciate having this separate area where people can stretch their legs between sessions. The room comes equipped with everything modern events require, presentation screen, projector, flip charts, and reliable WiFi throughout. Our kitchen serves the space directly, offering full breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, including dedicated vegan and gluten-free options that we've developed over the years. You'll find us on Victoria Street in the Lace Market, with tram stops and bus routes nearby making it easy for guests coming from across Nottingham. We should note that this Victorian building doesn't have lift access to the second floor, something we always discuss when helping plan your event to ensure everyone in your party can join comfortably.
