Step inside The Livery Hall and you're immediately drawn to the warm amber glow from our chandeliers reflecting off the coffered ceiling above. This ground floor space at Pewterers' Hall combines Georgian grandeur with everything you need for a modern celebration, whether that's a wedding reception, milestone birthday, or company party. The room holds up to 120 guests for standing receptions, while seated dinners work beautifully for 72. We've found the space particularly suits wedding breakfasts, with round tables creating an intimate atmosphere despite the hall's generous proportions. Along one wall, our illuminated display cases showcase centuries-old pewter pieces, pieces that often spark conversations among guests exploring the room during drinks receptions. Natural light pours through the tall sash windows, which overlook our private garden. During warmer months, we can open these up to extend your celebration outside, where a marquee provides additional space for dancing or evening entertainment. The golden wall tones and rich drapery create a warm backdrop for photographs, while our patterned carpet adds texture and helps with acoustics during speeches. We've equipped the hall with professional AV facilities, including projector and PA system, all seamlessly integrated so they don't detract from the period features.
