Crystal chandeliers illuminate the parquet floors where Victorian industrialists once gathered for evening soirees, and today our Princes room continues that tradition of bringing people together. We've carefully preserved the original ceiling roses and ornate moldings that give this space its character, while discretely integrating the projector, screen and WiFi your presentations require. The room's generous proportions accommodate 120 delegates theatre-style, though we find the boardroom setup for 40 creates particularly engaging discussions, perhaps because those floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Garden Terrace provide natural thinking breaks. During morning sessions, sunlight streams through the tall windows, eliminating any need for artificial lighting until well into the afternoon. Our events team regularly reconfigures Princes to suit different needs, from strategic planning sessions where 50 executives gather around the boardroom table, to training workshops where 84 delegates work at banquet-style tables. The high ceilings create excellent acoustics, meaning your presenter won't struggle to be heard even without a microphone, though we provide full audio equipment when needed. Between sessions, delegates often step onto the adjacent Garden Terrace for coffee, where sea breezes carry conversations. The cloakroom just outside means laptops and coats stay secure while networking continues. We've installed ramps ensuring wheelchair access throughout, because Victorian elegance shouldn't exclude anyone from participating. The flipcharts we provide might seem simple compared to the ornate surroundings, but they prove surprisingly popular for brainstorming sessions beneath those glittering chandeliers. Located on the ground floor, Princes offers easy access from our main entrance, where the concierge team directs your guests past the morning room to your waiting setup.
