Our medieval farmstead sits on 50 acres of Devon countryside, where the Teign Valley stretches out below and Fingle Woods frames the horizon. We've watched countless couples fall in love with the timber-framed Bridesmere Bridge that spans our lake—it's become one of our most requested ceremony spots, especially when the morning light catches the water just right. The Rose Barn offers a completely different feel for ceremonies. Sun pours through the windows throughout the day, and we've found that couples who prefer an indoor setting love how the space connects them to the surrounding landscape. For receptions, the Swallow Barn transforms beautifully—we've seen everything from long banquet tables to scattered rounds, depending on what each couple envisions. What makes weddings here special is the freedom we give you. We don't tie you to specific caterers or suppliers. Instead, you bring in the team that understands your taste. Some couples have brought in street food vans, others have opted for formal dining. The choice is entirely yours. Our three converted barns sleep up to 22 guests across comfortable rooms that blend original features with modern bathrooms and heating. For larger groups, we set up bell tents in the meadow, and there's a campsite right next door. The newlyweds usually head to our off-grid cabin tucked away in the woods—it's got everything you need for that first night as a married couple. We heat our buildings using wood chips from Fingle Woods, just as this farm has done for generations. The entire venue becomes yours exclusively, from the ceremony through to the last dance. Every wedding here feels different because couples shape their day around these ancient buildings and wild Devon landscape.
