About Dunedin Country House
The red-brick Georgian facade of Dunedin Country House catches the afternoon sun as wedding guests arrive at 40 Westgate in Patrington. We've been hosting celebrations here in the East Riding of Yorkshire since transforming this Victorian property into something quite special - a place where couples can take over the entire house for their big day. Our 16 bedrooms each tell their own story through carefully chosen antique pieces mixed with the comforts guests expect. We can sleep up to 44 people overnight, which means your closest friends and family can stay right here after dancing in our reception spaces. The Drawing Room works beautifully for more intimate gatherings of 20, while the Billiard Room opens up for seated dinners of 60. When evening celebrations kick off, we can welcome up to 160 guests across our ground floor rooms and main bar. The terraced gardens have become something of a signature feature - photographers particularly love the way the mature trees frame shots on the upper lawn. We hold our wedding license, so ceremonies can happen right here among the Victorian plantings. Our kitchen team prepares everything from afternoon high teas to full gala dinners, adjusting menus to match what couples envision. Beyond weddings, we've hosted everything from 50th anniversary parties to charity fundraisers. The same spaces that work for wedding breakfasts transform easily for christening lunches or birthday celebrations. Business groups use our conference facilities during the week, taking advantage of the private parking and garden views. On Sundays, our dining room becomes a cozy restaurant seating about 30 for traditional roast dinners. Each event coordinator on our team knows these rooms inside out - from which corner of the Billiard Room catches the best light to exactly how many champagne flutes fit on the antique sideboard.
