About Hornington Manor
Walking through the gates of Hornington Manor, you'll find yourself transported to a Georgian farmhouse that's been hosting celebrations since 1770. We've spent years perfecting the balance between maintaining our Grade II listed heritage and providing everything modern celebrations need. Our estate spans 300 acres of North Yorkshire farmland, where we welcome up to 42 overnight guests across 19 en-suite bedrooms. The rooms are spread throughout the Manor House, West Wing, Servants' Quarters, and converted Stables - each with its own character from centuries of stories. For those wanting something different, we've added eight Shepherd's Huts, each themed individually and tucked into spots with the best countryside views. The Russet Ceremony Barn is where most couples say their vows - the vaulted ceilings and original oak frames create an atmosphere you can't manufacture. Our Dining Barn fits 150 seated guests comfortably, with enough space for dancing afterward. When Yorkshire weather cooperates, ceremonies move outside to either the front lawn or the courtyard beneath our oak-framed Lych Gate. We've kept the traditional kitchens fully functional - they're perfect for caterers or ambitious families who want to cook together. The living areas still have their original fireplaces, and we've added games rooms and hot tubs without disturbing the historic feel. Wi-Fi reaches everywhere, though guests often forget to use it. What makes Hornington Manor special for parties and celebrations is the exclusive use policy - when you book with us, the entire estate becomes yours for one, two, or three nights.
