About Leeds University Union
Our meeting rooms at Leeds University Union bring together the best of both worlds - the character of our historic building with all the modern tech you need for productive sessions. We've recently equipped each space with top-of-the-range facilities, and the natural daylight flooding through our windows keeps everyone energized throughout the day. The Riley Smith Theatre transforms beautifully into a conference space when you need something more formal. Its proscenium layout works brilliantly for presentations and ceremonies where you want that traditional theatre feel. For smaller groups or workshops where interaction is key, our Pyramid Theatre offers something different - the in-the-round setup creates an intimate atmosphere where everyone feels part of the conversation. Function is probably our most adaptable space. We've hosted everything from society meetings to training sessions here, and we can set it up however works best for you. If you're planning a longer day, we can arrange for the staffed bar to be open, and the PA system is there whenever you need it. Between sessions, your attendees can grab coffee at Common Ground café or head to the Old Bar for something more substantial. We're spread across six levels, but our lift access means everyone can move around easily. We've also got accessible gender-neutral restrooms throughout the building and designated viewing areas if anyone needs them. What makes our venue special for meetings is how the creative energy of the Union building seems to spark great ideas. Whether you're planning a conference, training day, or team meeting, we've got the right space and all the support you need to make it work.
