About Metropolitan
Since 1967, Metropolitan Bushey has been bringing people together across our 36 acres in Hertfordshire. We've watched countless celebrations unfold in our function rooms, from wedding receptions in the Ballroom with 300 dancing guests to corporate presentations in the Studio where 150 colleagues can gather comfortably. Our four main event spaces each serve different purposes. The Ballroom remains our largest, complete with its own private bar and air conditioning that keeps everyone comfortable during summer celebrations. The Glindon Room works brilliantly for parties of up to 120, while the Aldenham Room offers similar capacity with flexibility for standing receptions. The Studio provides an alternative layout that many clients prefer for seated dinners or conference-style events. Beyond our indoor spaces, we maintain football pitches where local teams train year-round, cricket grounds that host weekend matches, and tennis courts that stay busy through the warmer months. Our county-standard bowls green attracts players from across Hertfordshire. These outdoor facilities mean we often host sports club dinners and award ceremonies alongside traditional parties and weddings. Monty's Bar & Kitchen serves both our event guests and daily visitors, offering a full menu throughout the week. The gym upstairs sees regular use from members who appreciate having fitness facilities on-site. Our events team works directly with each client to arrange catering that fits their specific celebration - from formal three-course dinners to relaxed buffets. We handle the bar service, help coordinate entertainment, and can adjust room layouts to match your vision. As a not-for-profit venue, we reinvest everything back into maintaining and improving Metropolitan Bushey for our community's celebrations, meetings, and sporting activities.
