About ODEON Birmingham New Street
Our eight-screen cinema on New Street transforms into Birmingham's most unexpected party venue after the regular showings end. We've been hosting celebrations in these historic walls since 1937, and there's something about throwing a party where countless film premieres and special screenings have taken place that adds real character to any event. The main auditoriums work brilliantly for larger gatherings - we can accommodate groups from 50 people right up to several hundred, depending on which screen you choose. The 2D and RealD 3D projection technology means we can display anything you want on the big screen, from personal photo montages to live sports events or custom presentations. Our Premier seating areas give your guests proper comfort throughout the evening, with extra legroom and wider seats than standard cinema seating. We keep the Costa Café open during private events, so there's always somewhere to grab proper coffee or tea between the main festivities. The bar areas work perfectly for drinks receptions, and we can arrange catering packages to suit different party styles. Screens 3 and 4 have full wheelchair access with level entry and designated spaces. The building itself creates natural flow for parties - the foyer becomes your welcome area, individual screens serve as private party spaces, and the various levels offer different zones for mingling. Being right on New Street at number 139, Birmingham B2 4NU, your guests can easily reach us by train, bus or tram. The central location also means plenty of nearby parking options and hotels for those traveling from further afield.
