About Rain Dogs
Every other Thursday, the sounds of blues and jazz drift through our copper-topped bar at Rain Dogs, mixing with the hum of conversation and clinking glasses. We've carved out this space from a 300-year-old building on Bethnal Green Road, right where East London meets the entrance to Brick Lane, keeping the best bits of its history while adding our own touches. During the day, sunlight pours through the windows that wrap around our corner spot, catching the warm tones of our tan leather furniture. Come evening, we dim the lights and the whole atmosphere shifts - suddenly you're in a different world, somewhere between a neighbourhood bar and a hidden speakeasy. We've got room for 40 people seated comfortably, or can pack in up to 70 standing when the music's playing and everyone's on their feet. Our kitchen team works with local suppliers to put together a menu that changes with the seasons - proper British food made from ingredients that haven't travelled halfway around the world. Behind the bar, we're mixing cocktails alongside pulling craft beers and pouring wines we've carefully chosen. Our sommeliers and mixologists know their stuff, whether you want a perfectly brewed coffee at lunch or something stronger when the sun goes down. For private parties, we love how the space transforms depending on what you need. Birthday celebrations tend to spill across the whole bar, while corporate gatherings often prefer the seated arrangement where conversation flows easier. The live music nights bring their own energy - country, jazz, and blues acts performing to an intimate crowd. Being this close to Shoreditch station and several bus routes means your guests won't struggle to find us, and Brick Lane's right on our doorstep when you want to continue the night elsewhere.
