Georgian windows frame the Cheshire countryside at Statham Lodge Hotel, where we've been hosting celebrations in this Grade II listed manor house since the 1970s. Our 11 acres of gardens have witnessed thousands of first dances, heartfelt speeches, and sunset photographs beneath the wisteria that drapes across our stone façade. The Gainsborough Suite serves as our main celebration space, where up to 180 guests can dine beneath crystal chandeliers before the room transforms to welcome 250 for evening festivities. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light during afternoon receptions, while the adjoining garden room opens onto our patio terrace where guests spill out for drinks between courses. Our smaller Shelley Suite, once the manor's original drawing room, maintains its period features and comfortably hosts 45 guests for more intimate gatherings. We particularly love when couples choose our outdoor gazebo for their ceremony - guests walk through the magnolia archway to find rows of chairs arranged on the lawn, with the Georgian manor providing an elegant backdrop. After five decades of weddings here, we've learned that weather contingencies matter, so indoor alternatives are always ready. Our 37 bedrooms spread throughout the manor house, each decorated differently with antique furnishings and modern bathrooms. The bridal suite occupies the finest corner of the building, with views across both the formal gardens and parkland beyond. We operate on an exclusive-use basis, meaning your party has complete privacy throughout your stay. Our kitchen team sources ingredients from local Cheshire suppliers, adjusting menus seasonally. With parking for 180 cars and easy access from Manchester, Chester, and Liverpool via the M6 and M56, guests find us surprisingly convenient despite our rural setting. We handle conferences and private parties too, but weddings remain our specialty after all these years.
