About The Ashridge Great Barn
Five centuries of Devon history live within the timber beams of The Ashridge Great Barn, where we've been hosting wedding celebrations in our tucked-away valley near North Tawton. The barn's airy interior gives you a blank canvas to create exactly the wedding you've imagined - we've seen everything from wildflower meadow themes to elegant black-tie affairs work beautifully in this space. We can seat 140 of your guests comfortably for dinner, and when evening arrives, our sprung wood dance floor comes alive with up to 200 people celebrating together. Between the dancing and toasts, your guests often drift into our snug area - it's become everyone's favorite spot for catching up with old friends. Weather permitting, many couples exchange vows outdoors. The Magic Circle in our Victorian gardens feels like something from a storybook, while the Secret Glade hidden in our woodland offers complete privacy surrounded by ancient trees. These spots never fail to produce those breathtaking photos you'll treasure forever. When you book with us, we hand over the keys for three full days. This gives you Friday to set up at your own pace, Saturday for the celebration itself, and Sunday to relax with your closest friends and family. Nine of your loved ones can stay right here in our accommodation, and we've got space for camping if more want to stay close by. Our planning team works alongside you from booking to last dance, and on your wedding day, our coordinator handles all the details so you can simply enjoy. Bring your own wine and champagne - we don't charge corkage. Your four-legged friends are welcome too. Just 45 minutes from Exeter, we're easy to find but feel wonderfully remote once you arrive.
