The railway arches at Deansgate Locks transform into something special when we open our doors at The Comedy Store Manchester. We've carved out a 500-seat theatre from these historic brick arches, and the original exposed walls create intimate coves throughout the space - perfect spots for groups to gather between acts. Our main business revolves around stand-up comedy, with different formats throughout the week. Thursday nights bring four comedians to the stage, while Fridays and Saturdays feature five world-class performers. The first Sunday of each month gets particularly lively with our King Gong Show, where new comedians brave our audience to test their material. Beyond the laughs, we run a full restaurant operation. Our kitchen serves proper meals - think steak and ale pies and fish cakes from the à la carte menu. We offer two-course deals at £11 on Thursdays and £17 at weekends. The bar areas keep things more relaxed with pizzas, pasta dishes, and burgers available throughout the evening. The space itself works brilliantly for private events too. When you book the entire venue, you get exclusive use of our theatre, three separate bar areas, and the restaurant. We've hosted everything from company AGMs to awards ceremonies here. The theatre's design means everyone gets a good view, whether you're running a corporate presentation or bringing in live entertainment. The brick archways and industrial heritage of the building give each event its own character. Groups naturally flow between the main theatre space and the smaller nooks created by the original architecture. It's this combination of a proper comedy venue setup with flexible private hire options that makes our space work for such varied occasions.
